8th Pay Calculator (“we”, “us”, “this website”) operates 8thpaycalculator.tech, an independent tool that helps visitors estimate salary scenarios under different assumptions. This policy applies to that website and nothing else.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of India or any Pay Commission. This is a privately operated informational website.

By using this website you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of it, the appropriate response is simply not to use the site.

The website does not require registration, and there are no user accounts. In normal use you do not need to provide any personal information at all.

The only situation in which you actively give us information is if you choose to contact us. If you send a message through the contact page or by email, we receive whatever you include in it — typically your name, your email address and the content of your message.

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email. Depending on the form software in use, a copy may also be stored temporarily on this website so that messages are not lost in transit.

Please do not include passwords, bank details, account numbers, employee identification numbers, salary slips or other sensitive documents in any message to us. We never ask for these and have no use for them.

This section is the one most visitors care about, so it is worth being precise.

The salary calculator is client-side. All of its arithmetic is performed by JavaScript running inside your own web browser, on your own device. When you enter a basic pay figure, a DA percentage, an HRA slab, allowance amounts or a fitment factor, those values stay in your browser’s memory while the page is open.

Specifically:

• Your calculator inputs are not transmitted to our servers.
• They are not stored in a database, in cookies, or in browser storage.
• They are not shared with any third party by the calculator.
• They are not visible to us. We have no way of seeing what any individual entered.

The values are cleared as soon as you reset the form, reload the page, navigate away or close the tab. Nothing carries over to a later visit, which also means a previous result cannot be recovered. If you want to keep a calculation, use the print option on the results.

Although the calculator itself sends nothing, visiting any website involves some automatic data exchange. Two categories apply here.

Server logs

Our web host records standard access logs for every request, as essentially all hosting providers do. These typically include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser type and version, your operating system, and the referring page if there was one.

These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and technical troubleshooting. We do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors, and we do not attempt to link them to your identity.
